Frequently Asked Questions
With an event like Play In A Day everyone is sure to have questions. If your question is not answered below, simply contact the event coordinator by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I get my child involved with Play In A Day?
Getting involved with Play In A Day is easy. Simply visit the organization sign up page above and fill out the AUDITION form. You will be contacted with an information packet and confirmation of your audition time via e-mail within 48 hours of submitting your form.
What do we need to prepare for the audition?
The AUDITION page under PLAY IN A DAY on the top of this page has everything you need for auditions. There is a song to listen to. Learn the song and brush up on your dance moves and you will be ready. We use a group audition that helps things move quickly. Group auditions also help keep the atmosphere friendly and fun. It's always easier to audition with friends!
What happens after the audition?
After auditions you are more than welcome to wait inside the theater, grab a bite to eat or just visit with friends. The cast list will be posted no later than 7:15 so make sure you are back in time to check because after the list is posted the cast meets on the stage for the actors meeting.
If I don't want to be on stage can I still help?
Of course! If you are 12-18 years old you can work on the crew for the show. You'll need to get your creative juices flowing because the crew will work late into the night to pull sets, costumes and props. At the end of the night, crew members load up everything into our truck, then head home for a nap. Crew comes back to the theater at 11:00am. Click on the organization page under PLAY IN A DAY at the top of this page to get started. Crew is limited to the first 25 kids who sign up.
My son/daughter wants to participate, can I help too?
Here at Play In A Day, anyone who wants to help, can. We will find a place where we can use your expertise or put you wherever you feel comfortable helping out. Just fill out the volunteer form on the sign up page under PLAY IN A DAY at the top of this page.
Can I get tickets?
You can, and you can bring all of your friends and family too! Go to the Tickets page and purchase ahead of time to save money over door prices!
I have friends from out of town who want to participate, can they?
Yes they can! They are more than welcome to sign up in any role they feel comfortable.
